Hboot 1.01.001 Unlock And Rooting
Hi all I have now finished testing the clip and can verify that Hboot-1.01.001 unlocking doesn't erase any data.
Also after S-Off has been performed you are able to downgrade via RUU if you wish to root it the old fashioned way.
Currently i am Rooted on Hboot 1.01.001 without issues.
In order to do this you need to make a PC49IMG.zip of clockworkmod 2.5.0.7 or 3.0.0.6 with andriod-info.txt and the recovery.img of your choice make sure you rename the file to recovery.img.
Code:
http://mirror1.kanged.net/recoveries/
Boot into HBoot with goldcard and it will pick up and flash the new recovery image.
You then can install any rooted Firmware. CM7 RC-1 works but there is a GPS bug which can be fixed by reflashing the Radio file same way as the recovery image.
I shell be making a video sometime in the next few weeks on how to do this.
For Those that will like it the easy way.
Download the Following Files Below:-
2.2.1 Stock Rom Rooted : http://www.multiupload.com/JSAWVUC88O
Recovery, Radio Update: http://rapidshare.com/files/451971561/PC49IMG.zip
Instructions.
1) Download Above Files
2) Copy PC49IMG.zip to the Root of your XTC Gold Card
3) Rename PC49DIAG.nbh to PC49DIAG.bak
4) Copy the Rooted Stock Rom to the XTC GoldCard and rename it to update.zip
5) Reboot your phone into Hboot Mode by pressing Volume Down and Power
6) It will now ask if you want to update the firmware select Volume Up for Yes.
7) Remove the Gold Card and Reboot Back to Hboot Mode and select recovery using Volume Down then Power to select.
8) You should see a nice ClockWork Recovery system.
9) Reinsert the Gold Card and select apply update.zip from SDcard.
10) Let that finish then do a Wipe data/factory (Will Loose All Data and Settings only perform if your going to use another Rom!!!! that is not the file i supplied!)
11) DO a wipe cache partition and in advance do wipe dalvik cache.
12) Reboot phone and Enjoy your Rooted Wildfire with Hboot 1.01.001.
13) IMPORTANT REMEMBER TO DO A BACKUP (Nandoird Backup) Before changing each rom after doing the above.
IMPORTANT:
As pointed out by UnlockHTC If you would like to keep your apps and are only going to be using the Rooted 2.2.1 Firmware do not perform the wipe data/ format command via recovery.
If you are going to use a custom Rom then you most do a Wipe Data/Format before rebooting to stop the Boot Loop issue otherwise it.
Que significa?? xD
