Hey all,
Most everyone here knows me from M3 & twitter. Today, most of the day I've warned people about using the MULTI-TOUCH patch provided by our friends in the other part of the world. :) When I first saw it, I was thrilled to see someone besides me had got it working on 2.1. I had it working back on 1.5 but never released it to the public. At the same time, I cautioned this because as most people here know, I've spent too much time looking @ Motorola source code for the cliq, cliqxt, and the backflip. I think it's a sickness. ;) lol. Anyway, I got confirmation that this patch while it does work, will eventually do harm to your touchscreen. It's not a question of if, but only of WHEN! So as HanderExploit requested, I'm post this warning here. The patch that is supplying the multi-touch is taking away from what is used internally for other parts of the touchscreen. In the end killing your screen. That's pretty much all I can say about it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but when it comes down to it, I'd rather not be responsible for a kernel of mine destroying a cliq/backflip. Enough said. Take care & yes, 2.6.29.6 kernels will be rolling out the next day or two. I passed the patches onto everyone I know who compiles for the cliq/backflip. I was able to test the patches on both the cliq/backflip and I'm happy w/ the end results. :-)

@adumont (http://twitter.com/adumont) I'd be cautious as implementing MT may have unintended consequences to your phone.
