Hi,

Android 8 introduced LDAC BT codec support (thanks to Sony) in Android AOSP. But eventually it's up to device manufacturers to actually enable LDAC support or not.

1. Is it possible to switch between Bluetooth codecs in Aquaris X2 without enabling Developer Options?
2. Is it possible to explicitly choose LDAC?

Developer Options are defined by Android System and if not have this functions implemented in system the options will not work, only we can know if LDAC works testing it.

That's also of my concern. I would love to hear I don't need to enable Developer Options in order to (1) see which BT codec is currently in use or (2) to select the one I think fits best for the particular case.

Hi,

VitaliyK LDAC is Sony's own license. In Android Oreo it introduce a support for LDAC and Google works with Sony so that the implementation of this technology was easier for manufacturers. However it doesn't mean that all the device with Android One must have the LDAC.
In our case we don't offer support for LDAC. If it was the case, we would inform like we do it with aptX.
