ZTE Axon 7 mini: análisis, especificaciones y primeras impresiones

Hace ya bastante tiempo que el ZTE Axon 7 mini fue presentado, en concreto fue en septiembre del 2016. Quizá un poco tarde para probarlo pero nunca está de más teniendo en cuenta la considerable y lógica bajada de precio del terminal. Es cierto que a día de hoy sus prestaciones están ampliamente superadas, pero como digo, por su relación calidad precio aún resulta un producto interesante.

Y este, el ZTE Axon 7 mini. Por supuesto, hereda el aspecto de su hermano mayor, el Axon 7, que tan buenas críticas obtuvo. Este es más pequeño, compacto y ligero. De hecho resulta extremadamente ligero.

Tenemos un par de salidas de altavoz arriba y abajo, lo que proporciona un sonido estereo de buena calidad. Arriba, junto al altavoz, tenemos la cámara frontal.

Abajo, como veis, unicamente el altavoz. Los botones están en la pantalla.

El chasis es de aluminio, en este caso de color oro rosa, de buen aspecto. El tacto es excelente y se ve bien construído. A ello contribuye lo comentado anteriormente de su ligereza. En el lateral derecho encontramos toda la botonería: arriba volumen y abajo, encendido. Ambos botones, también de metal, tienen un tacto y un recorrido perfectos.

En el lado opuesto, el slot para las dos tarjetas SIMs o para una SIM y una tarjeta de expansión de la ROM. Es por tanto un dispositivo unibody.

En la parte superior, el jack de auriculares de 3.5 mm.

Este Axon 7 mini monta un SoC conformado por un procesador Qualcomm Snapdragon 617, octacore a 1.5Ghz, junto con una GPU Adren 405. El sistema corre con 3GB de RAM y 32GB de ROM. Desde luego a día de hoy es una configuración modesta (no lo era en el 2016) pero válida para realizar cualquier tarea cotidiana de manera solvente. Eso sí, juegos 3D exigentes, no tanto, tenedlo en cuenta.

La cámara trasera es de 16MPX (nada de cámaras duales) y aunque no se especifica el fabricante, diría que es de Sony, por su buena calidad. Lo cierto es que la cámara es notable, con un detalle y un desenfoque excelente. Quizá sea este el mejor componente del aparato. La delantera se queda en 8MPX.

Sobre el wifi, este se comporta de la manera esperada, sin destacar especialmente en ningún sentido. En la prueba realizada con la app "Wifi Analyzer" nos hemos conectado a una red de 2,4Ghz y a un router que está a unos 15 metros.

Es necesario hablar del sonido. El aparato cuenta con un chip dedicado que lo potencia, el AK4962, que unido a la doble salida de audio frontal y a su software compatible con Dolby Atmos 360, hace que la experiencia sea superior al terminal medio. Sin duda uno de los puntos destacados del Axon 7 mini, como sucedía con su hermano mayor.

Desde luego, si el precio de este terminal siguiera siendo los 300 euros que tuvo en su lanzamiento, no sería para nada aconsejable. Pero a 100 euros, sí resulta interesante, por aspecto y prestaciones. Es muy cómodo de llevar y utilizar y en general, rinde bien en todas sus facetas, por supuesto sin olvidar que sus prestaciones a día de hoy están muy superadas. Interesante.

Desde luego, si el precio de este terminal siguiera siendo los 300 euros que tuvo en su lanzamiento, no sería para nada aconsejable. Pero a 100 euros, sí resulta interesante, por aspecto y prestaciones. Es muy cómodo de llevar y utilizar y en general, rinde bien en todas sus facetas, por supuesto sin olvidar que sus prestaciones a día de hoy están muy superadas. Interesante.
