Wieppo S6: review, especificaciones y primeras impresiones

Hemos probado un nuevo teléfono, en concreto el modelo S6 del fabricante Wieppo y os queremos contar nuestras primeras impresiones. A día de hoy, es un gama de entrada (muy de entrada), pero en general no se ha comportado mal.

Esta es la caja del producto.

Y este, el Wieppo S6. Lo cierto es que su aspecto nos transporta a teléfonos de hace algún tiempo. Se ve realmente básico: no hay lector de huellas, el cuerpo es de plástico, marcos generosos, batería extraíble... es lo que hay.

Como hemos comentado, el chasis es de plástico, imitando al metal. No se ve mal realmente pero en la mano se nota que es un material barato. Tenemos un par de botones en el lateral derecho, que sí parecen de metal.

Arriba, el jack para los auriculares y el puerto de carga microusb.

Y abajo, micro y altavoz. La SIM y la tarjeta de expansión de la ROM están debajo de la tapa. Hacía tiempo que no probaba un teléfono con tapa.

Sobre la trasera, lo mejor que podemos decir es que no se ve nada mal, gracias a ese tono plateado que presenta.

En resumen, se trata de un terminal con un aspecto muy del 2016, que a día de hoy se ve claramente desfasado.

Hablemos del SoC. Este terminal monta un procesador quadcore MT6737 a 1.3Ghz, junto con una GPU Mali 720. El sistema corre con 2GB de RAM y 16GB de ROM. Configuración modesta, válida por tanto para tareas sencillas y cotidianas, no para juegos 3D.

La cámara trasera de este terminal es dual y está formado por dos lentes de 8 y 5MPX. Podríamos decir que rinde al nivel del resto de especificaciones, es decir, se comporta de una manera suficiente nada más. En planos cercanos bien iluminados, no está tan mal.

Sobre el wifi, este se comporta de la manera esperada, sin destacar especialmente en ningún sentido. En la prueba realizada con la app "Wifi Analyzer" nos hemos conectado a una red de 2,4Ghz y a un router que está a unos 15 metros.

El hecho de que este Wieppo S6 sea un teléfono modesto no quiere decir necesariamente que sea una mala compra... si el precio acompaña. El problema es que esto tampoco parece estar a la altura, se puede encontrar en Amazon por 92 euros, un precio creo que elevado comparado con otras alternativas mucho más potentes. El teléfono no es malo si sabes lo que compras, pero su precio debe ajustrase para que pueda resultar minimamente interesante.
