Any news on this? Will work continue now that CyanogenMod has been replaced by Lineage OS? I certainly hope so. I am still running Voda's stock ROM, having lurked on this forum for some time, waiting and hoping that a better-performing ROM will eventually surface.

I find it very strange how my old 1st gen Moto G still seems so much more responsive than my SP6, even though their specs aren't hugely different. I have at least resolved the sporadic slowdowns (e.g. switching between apps via Recent Screens) by wiping the cache partition, via the recovery menu. It took quite a long time to run. Maybe this may help other ROMs?

Well, there's MUI8 (ported from 7044x) that is based on Marshmallow...

...it *should* be quite simple to make a port !
