Cubot Rainbow: review, especificaciones y primeras impresiones

Un smartphone ultrabarato más. Se trata del Cubot Rainbow, de buen aspecto y especificaciones realmente básicas. Lo mejor, su precio, unos 50 euros. Vamos a verlo.

Y este, el Rainbow. Su aspecto no es malo, su chasis es de metal y eso siempre mejora la primera impresión. Pero desde luego no se puede decir que cuente con un aspecto actual o premium. De hecho, me recuerda ligeramente al Note 3 de Samsung, aunque algo más pequeño.

Luego hablaremos de la pantalla y los marcos, aunque ya podéis intuir que son bastante generosos.

En la inferior, los habituales tres botones táctiles.

Fijaos en el cuerpo del aparato. Es de metal y cuenta con unos biseles pulidos a cada lado. Para costar lo que cuesta, no está mal. La botonería está en el lateral derecho: arriba volumen y abajo, encendido. Ambos botones, también de metal, presentan un tacto y recorrido adecuados.

En la parte superior vemos el puerto microusb y el jack para los auriculares.

Turno para la trasera. Es de plástico pero presenta una ligera trama que además de facilitar el agarre, hace que las huellas no se vean. Bajo mi punto de vista, todas las traseras de plástico lisas deberían ser así.

En la esquina superior izquierda vemos la cámara, de 13MPX, junto con un flash LED. Luego veremos qué tal se comporta.

Sobre el peso, son 163,3 gramos. Teniendo en cuenta que es un 5'', no es el aparato más ligero que hemos probado, pero tampoco resulta exagerado.

Este Rainbow presenta un SoC realmente básico, conformado por un procesador MTK6580 a 1.3Ghz junto con una GPU Mali 400. El sistema corre con 1GB de RAM. Configuración habitual hace dos años, ahora no es tan fácil de encontrar. Muy muy básica, te permitirá tareas cotidianas nada exigentes: whatsapp, redes sociales, etc...

La cámara principal de este Rainbow es de 13MPX y es sin duda el mejor componente de este teléfono. Las imágenes son nítidas, con buen colorido y desenfoque. Quizá el fabricante sea Sony, aunque el sensor sea antiguo.

¿Se puede pedir mucho por 50 euros? la verdad es que no. Este Rainbow es un teléfono muy básico, pocas cosas con peor hardware vas a encontrar a día de hoy. Pero lo cierto es que por lo que vale, no está nada mal. Puede ser una buena opción para tener como segundo teléfono o para regalar a un chaval joven. Su cámara además es de buena calidad. Interesante para quien busque algo muy barato.
