About us:
Hi all,

some of you know me from the OnePlus One or the Samsung devices area, where I provide my kernels already for more than two years to Galaxy S5, S3 and Note 10.1 users for all sort of platforms (Samsung, Cyanogenmod, Omnirom etc.)

Finally I got an OnePlus Two a few weeks ago and decided to start a kernel also for this device.

Please note:
I am not heading to have as many features as possible implemented, this is not my design goal. If you are more into that, move on to other, good existing kernels. If you are searching for a good mix of improvements and new functions while not sacrificing stability, you are welcome here (see below the history section for more info).

Important notes

This kernel is ONLY compatible to OxygenOs stock 3.5.5, nothing else !!!

If you are using a custom rom that bases on OxygenOs, it might work. However, if it does not work, do not expect me to do tweak to make the kernel running with your favorite rom. I would not do it - my one and only reference is OxygenOs stock.

It is not supposed to be compatible to CM, HydrogenOS etc.

Also note: You have to use Boeffla-Config app which I provide on my homepage to tweak the kernel. 3rd party apps will not be able to unleash the full power of the kernel.
Saying that, the Boeffla-Sound app in Play Store is not designed to work on the OnePlus phones, neither was it developed by me, hence it will never work on the OPO ever. Boeffla-Config is the way to go here !!!

To reiterate it again: Flash the kernel only if you are running a compatible rom !!!

To tweak and configure the kernel, manually load and install the app "Boeffla-Config V2" from here: DOWNLOAD (http://boeffla.df-kunde.de/bc)

You need version 2.2.1 or higher for the OnePlus Two Boeffla Kernels.

En principio es para OOS 2.1.x, por lo que debería de ser compatible con ambas versiones

De serie viene con dos núcleos Big activados(como el stock). Yo los active todos y aun así, gasta menos que AK. Aunque cada tlf es un mundo. Solo tienes que probarlo y configurarlo con su aplicación. Sin tener ninguna otra aplicación para gestionar kernels

Eso es que has flaseado una version anterior y no es compatible con 2.1.2

thanks to a few users, the next version of Boeffla-Kernel allows you to configure some thermal engine settings (i.e. the engine that decides when to throttle what when specific temperatures of CPU, battery etc. are being reached).

Please update your Boeffla-Config app to version 2.2.11.
Note, you have to reboot after any change to the thermal settings in order to make it active!

Me parece totalmente surrealista esta duración de batería, estoy alucinado la verdad, cargado al 94% y 5:41h de pantalla, nunca imaginé algo así, acostumbrado al nexus 5 q pasaba muy a duras penas de las 3h.
Con este kernel sí q estoy convencido de que tengo probablemente el mejor smartphone del mercado, el sobrecalentamiento está totalmente fuera de la ecuación

Me lo he metido al final, a ver que tal.

Con el primer ciclo, todo stick, lo he puesto a cargar cuando aún estaba al 15% y me ha dado poco más de 25 horas de uso, pasando de las 4:30h de pantalla.

A ver si lo supera. si no volveré al stock

usually I do not work during weekends, but this time is an exception (as I had trouble with my car and its completely defective battery, hehe).

For all users that were used to use their own, tweaked custom thermal config files before beta11 - they can do it now again. Just select "Thermal - Custom" first in Boeffla-Config and you can copy your custom file over again and use it.

Also, experimental feature: You can underclock the GPU down to 27 MHz. Let's see whether that has any effect. I had that option already in my OPO kernels, so wanna try it here as well.

He vuelto al stock, con este he tenido problemas de cobertura. Nada grave pero sí que he visto que depende que zonas el LTE no iba muy fino. Supongo que probaré otras versiones y demás.

Alguien nota diferencia en el sonido con este kernel? Hoy he tenido q volver a todo stock tras quedarme en bootloop probando cosillas :S y me parece q el audio es sublime con el kernel stock, y con boeffla se oye como algo amortiguado...igual me estoy enparanoiando

Removed bcl driver - this means, no cores or the whole big cpu are shut down anymore when battery is low
Removed msm_performance userspace driver - this means, no big cpu cores are shutdown anymore by the rom (e.g. was the case when Google Chrome app was started, 3 cpu cores of big cpu were shut down)
Minor tweak to msm_adreno_tz GPU governor to use 27MHz frequency step a bit more (if configured as min GPU freq) - note there is not much room for tweaks as the algorithm is not available as it is hidden in the trusted zone

Battery current limit driver (bcl) is back now and active by default (just like stock kernel) - you can disable it on Misc2 tab in Boeffla-Config
Explanation: The bcl driver is responsible to shut cpu cores of the big cpu cluster down when battery gets low.
Hotplug profiles for big cpu cluster changed now to:
- profile "min=2, max=4 (default)" allows rom now to shut down cores of cpu cluster 2 if it wants (e.g. when you load Google Chrome) - this is also the default profile according to stock behaviour
- profile "min=2, max=4 (non-stock)" does not allow the rom to do it's own stuff
- all other profiles also do not allow the rom to interfere
msm_performance driver is still out as I could not find a use case for it
Added new thermal profile "Thermal - Extreme" which allows even higher temperatures without throttling, use on own risk, details in XDA kernel thread (credits to XDA users "i9100g user" and "hamdir")
Thermal-Gaming profile replaced by new version (credits to XDA users "i9100g user" and "hamdir") - to be safe for the configuration being used, boot one additional time after you flashed the kernel

Os pasa que en antutu con oxygen y boeffla siempre da un resultado altísimo (y poco acertado) en el ux que hace que saquemos puntuaciones de 90-100k q en realidad se quedarían en 75-76k si quitamos el valor exagerado?

Si eres root y tienes un recovery modificado (tpwr por ejemplo) puedes flashear el kernel.

Big CPU can now be switched off completely in hotplugging profiles
Added 5 new hotplugging profiles for big CPU: minx=0, max=0 ... min=0, max=4
Even when the big CPU cluster is down due to overheating or low battery, Boeffla-Config should now still be able to configure it (no more warning message in the app after start anymore)
Big cpu cluster cores can now fully rotate for optimal thermal averaging on the dice (core 4 is not always sticky on as before)
New thermal profile "performance" added (credits to The Peterle)

Sólo es compatible con Oxygen 2.2.0 o Roms que se basen en ella.
Va bastante bien.
Como anécdota, decir que al dev que lo hace lo han fichado de Oneplus

Como siempre.
Por cierto, tiene su propio software para configurarlo (tienes un enlace en el primer post) y en XDA tienes un post si no recuerdo mal con perfiles de configuración

Haz siempre Wipes dalvik y cache.
Se supone que algo mejor, pero siendo el mismo kernel tampoco notarás grandes diferencias ; muchas veces las actualizaciones corrigen fallos

En el primer post del hilo tienes el enlace a la App.
Si no vas a modificar nada no merece la pena que la instales (si no sabes cuidado con lo que tocas)
Procuraremos ir actualizando el hilo a medida que salgan nuevas versiones, al igual que hacemos con las Roms

Change: double tap 2 wake without haptic feedback does properly use proximity sensor now (avoid unwanted wake ups)

Change: Maximum charge rate for ac charger reduced to 2000 mA
(I got an USB current meter now and could confirm, the MSM8994 SoC puts a hard limitiation above 2000 mA in)

Pues no se porqué pero mejor va a ser que no malgaste el tiempo, a este ritmo no vemos cm de manera oficial, mira que el leer que opt tendria cm oficial fue lo que me hizo decantarme por este movil...

El kernel viene ya configurado con ajustes óptimos, pero siempre hay gente que quiere o bien optimizarlo para aumentar la duración de la batería, u otros que lo modifican para mejorar el rendimiento (juegos)

Muy buenas noticias!!! Boeffla va a colgar la alpha de cm13 compatible con la rom de Grarak que, según he leído hoy en su Twitter, va muy estable para ser alpha. Como podeis ver, ha creado ya la sección para el kernel =)

Eso me pasaba a mí por tener el mod de los 8 núcleos, hubo que reinstalar desde cero para que desapareciera, pero merece la pena. Si haces un nandroid y restauras sólo la partición data te ahorras mucho tiempo y queda perfecto porque es la misma rom.

Sí los tienes activos, puedes tener mínimo 6 y max 8 que es como viene por defecto y tener los 8 siempre, depende de como lo configures. Pero vamos por defecto va genial y no se calienta nada. El
parche ya no hace falta y de hecho es incompatible, si lo tienes reinstala Oxygen porque al cargar la app te va a dar un error. Pero lo dicho, va aún mejor con este kernel que con el parche.

No, haz un nandroid, formatea todo menos la memoria interna, instala la rom, el kernel y el supersu, en ese orden y después restaura la partición data del nandroid que hiciste para recuperar todas las apps y configuración del móvil sin tener que hacer copia de seguridad con titanium backup. Es mucho más cómodo si estás en la misma rom.

Ok,ya te entendí. Solo una cosa...al instalar la rom 3.0.2, seguidamente,ponía Marpe que habia que instalar otro zip de patch, ese tengo que volver a meterlo o ya al hacer el nandroid se graba todo en el backup??

los addons permiten optimizar los google play services entre otras cosas. Pero sinceramente, después de probarlo unas semanas el tenerlos optimizados y que les afecte el doze hace que no te lleguen whatsapp hasta que abres la app (no siempre, pero sí muchas veces) y en mi caso al menos el ahorro de batería es mínimo, personalmente creo que no compensa, yo no lo he vuelto a poner

También noto que en cuanto trasteo un poco con él, es decir, mando unos WhatsApp, veo Twitter, vamos, con uso cotidiano, noto que se calienta. Por eso pregunto en el anterior post si tengo algo mal configurado porque estoy pensando en quitar este kernel.

Las frecuencias mínimas de los núcleos de bajo consumo las tienes en 600 y algo y deberían estar en 300 y algo. De todas formas esos consumos no son normales. Yo esperaría un día o dos a ver si se asienta. Yo ahora mismo con una configuración más orientada al rendimiento estoy haciendo unas 6 - 7 de pantalla en casa con wifi y uso ligero.
Gracias por tu ayuda. Ya llevo unos días con este kernel y el consumo es excesivo. Pondré esos valores como tu dices a ver si mejora. Yo no llego ni a las 3 horas de pantalla.

Buenas... pocas cosas hice, instale la 3.0.2 desde la 2 sin betas, porque al instalar la segunda beta se desactivaron todos los sensores menos el gps y lo mande a Arvatro ,y me cambiaron la placa base.
No puedo subir los pantallazos de la consumos, pero llevo 8 días con el movil y va mejorando la duracion...
Si solo tiro de 4g se queda en unas 3,30 a 4 y si tiro mas de WiFi con un poco de 4g salen unos 4.45, usando fb, whp, sygic, strava...

Change: Charge control removed for now (after reports on slow charging for some users, it might come back reworked on day in future)
Change: Increase of default USB charge rate from 500mA to 900mA
Note: Usually I hate to remove functionalities, but this time it seems it is the only way to go forward. The removed driver has been initially coded still under Android 5, so there is some chance it does not properly work under all side conditions anymore on higher Android versions. Not sure if it will ever come back as I will not find the time to recode it, and if ZaneZam can do it (he did the first version) is also unclear. Thanks for understanding.

He usado este Kernel, y la verdad es que siento que ningun Profile funciona, no me llega mas de 3.5 hrs de pantalla, aun cuando no le doy practicamente ningun uso mas que musica (unas 3 hrs) y redes sociales.

Alguien tiene algun consejo para aumentar la vida de la bateria? o se quedara asi por siempre? :(
