I am wanting to start saving again for the next great device, and while I am not expecting anyone to buy me the phone completely, ANY help is GREATLY appreciated (Check out my sig)

Ok guys, as I promised you, my 2.1 AOSP ROM is here. A lot of work went into this. still has some bugs, but is very stable, stable enough for everyday use. Anyway, follow the instructions as usual and I know you will enjoy this little gem. I want to take a minute to give a shoutout to SHAFTY023. His vast knowledge of java and coding has been the "cleaner upper" of this build.

La rom es rápida y estable, funciona toso lo que he probado, pues aun no la he visto toda, escribo a la vez que descubro. En mi opinión, va a ser mi rom actual, la del día a día. De momento he instalado mis aplicaciones de siempre y todas funcan rebien. Pro cierto, el Taskiller, me da casi siempre, sin nada abierto, 40-45 Mb de memoria libre.

Te respondo a tu pregunta: AOSP es Android Open Source Project, click AQUI (http://source.android.com/) enlace "get source", es decir, que el tío se ha bajado el código fuente de Android y lo ha compilado para hacer la ROM

Me gustaría que me contaras que tal es la ROM, funciona todo: bluetooth, video, camara, wifi, 3G, etc... tienes pantallazos de FC (Force Close), etc...

Es que estoy pensado en pasarme a una ROM con firmware 2.1, la de superatmel esta parada. :pensando:

Muchísimas gracias kakadeluxe, de momento sigo probandola. El Wi-fi funciona, la cámara de fotos y vídeo, el 3G (no tengo tarifa de datos, así que lo tengo bloqueado con el APNdroid, y las mas interesante de todo y no me había fijado es que es que no he tenido ningún FC para nada, me ha funcionado TODO.
Lo unico que no he probado es el bluetooth, lo siento.
Pero bueno, seguro que te enteras mas que yo y aqui te dejo el changelog de la pagina original:

Supongo que te refieres a una cuenta para subir las aplicaciones que crees para Android, creo que tienes que tener una cuenta en Gmail o Google y pagar 25$, mas informacion aquí:

Lo que me interesa de esa ROM es saber que funcione bien y no tenga FC. Otra cosa, ¿como lo hicisteis la instalacion ? cuando la instalasteis tenias aplicaciones ya instaladas o hicisteis un wipe de la partición ext3.

1º. Si tengo cuenta de gmail, pero como comprenderás, no voy a pagar 25$, no por que no los tenga, sino porque tengo 16 años y ni se como funciona ni mis padres me van a dejar, por eso pido que alguien me suba la aplicaion al parket.
2º. Uso Windows, pues aun no he tenido tiempo de ponerme el Ubuntu, pro lo que mi tarjeta de memoria esta en formato FAT, sin ninguna partición. La ROM funciona de maravilla, de hecho me pensare si me la voy a cambiar, pues hasta ahora tenia la de superatmel v8.2, eso 2.1 Made in Spain, pero me iba "petá", así que busque otra Eclair.
Te repito que no me ha dado ningún FC, y el Changelog lo tienes en el Post anterior,y después de leérmelo varias veces encontré en la versión 1 : - Bluetooth is fully functioning!, por tanto te confirmo que funciona todo.
Mi instalación fue, por pasos:

1_Copio la ROM la tarjeta, recién formateada, junto con el recovery.
2_Wipe de todo
3I_Intalacion a partir del .zip
Configuración del gmail y el Market.
5_ Reinicio.
6_A disfrutar!

Sigue informando de esa ROM en este tema lo que no va bien, lo de Changelog ya lo he leído pero quiero informacion de 1ª mano, la tuya.

Bueno, como se ve en las CAPTURAS esta en español, aunque principalmente viene en ingles, me explico:
CUando la enciendes por primera vez, y te entra en el tutorial de control del teléfono, eso de "Toca el Androide", esta todo en ingles, pero te dice en un botos "change language"; y lo cambias.

Otro que no aporta datos y cualquiera le contesta a su pregunta.
Dinos el SPL, Recovery y ROM instalados que tengas y suponiendo que lo has cambiado. Busca en el foro como obtener esos datos

si ves la parte de user, tengo la rom Super@tmel CSDI v4, lo cual quiere decir que tengo el recovery Amon RA-dream 1.5.2, pero actualize a la 1.6.2, radio 2.22.23.02

En primer lugar gracias por todo lo que contáis en este post, además las descargas funcionan perfectamente, pero... soy muy novato en esto

Actualicé mi Dream con la actualización a 1,5 de Movistar España, fue muy sencillo, ya que fue darle doble clic y funcionó solita...

Pero para actualizar a la 2,1 que comentáis aqui, uff... no se no se ... no lo acabo de ver claro

tienes un tutorial, buscalo es bastante sencillo, tengo un dream tb de movistar, rooteada, y cada poco `probando nuevas roms, la ultima q instale pienso q es de las mejores, pero el gps es lo unico q falla, no va, todo lo demas si, es muy sencillo te bajas todo lo q te dicen, el sdk, etc, es un terminal antiguo pero tiene teclado, q es lo q gusta, aunq este lo voy a regalar... pq ya tengo la htc hd2, y la htc desire hd, los dos con android, un saludo...
