1) If you mean change the parameters of the CPU, then NO... I wouldn't know how... Better not mess with something that i dont understand completly
2) As i'm tired of JellyBean never got to even try the NoriOS ROM, so for me the "Best ROM" competition it's only with Kitkat ROMs. The best so far is the T8180
3) Rooting is not an issue for me cause i flash the ROM with the TWRP Recovery img on the firmware folder, so at the first reboot the recovery asks if i want to install SuperSU Installer.

You download the recovery file HERE TWRP 2.8.6.0 [screen issue fixed by feroxx] || More info @ XDA Developers.
Place it inside the Firmware folder, rename the existing "recovery.img" to "recovery_def.img" and "twrp2860feroxx.img" to "recovery.img". Then flash the ROM to the phone with GN Qcom Download Tools.
To root the phone, after installation completed reboot the phone while pressing "Volume +" key.
Once you enter in recovery, just wipe cache and reboot the phone, it will be asked if you want to root the phone, just slide right to install "SuperSU Installer".
After the phone booted, start "SuperSU Installer" and choose the option TWRP. You will need internet connection, the phone will reboot to recovery and install the root. Then will reboot back to Android and voilá. the phone is rooted

I've been making some tests...
Replaced the "/system/etc/" folder on the GMDiscoveryElite with the same folder of the Gionee ROM.
The excess heating has disapeared, however is too soon to say anything about battery performance... During tomorrow i should have an idea about that...
Maybe this rom dont suck at all.. lets wait and see

I'll be using it until Lollipop ROM is ready!

concretamente que es lo que nos a facilitado nuestro amigo rsgi? es que no tengo ni idea de ingles. Es una rom en lollipop? yo estoy con la nori os y estoy muy contento pero si es lollipop habra que actualizar

In 2-3 hours i will test your backup. My Gionee E7 is charging now.

UPDATE: I get FC in security option in menu. Also i get FC when i try to open Top Bar (Toggles)
I have done wipes only before, and before/after. I reinstalled rom backup 3 times

maczar, lo de los sms como la he instalado varias veces, ya no se decirte como está.
Si que he tenido que modificar esas lineas del build.prop, pero ya no se si era cuando hice wipe despues de instalar. Luego os confirmo.

Venian activadas en el backup por defecto.

The Discovery Elite rom originally has already been removed the SMS numbers and the apps that can use it, in the Gionee backup was removed the apps related with sales. No international SMS also

Its not required to change anythink.
But if you have Jelly Bean and wanto to install this ROM, you should update first the firmware files with GN_KK_Core_T8180 and then install the DiscoveryElite ROM or restore the Gionee ROM

Creo que volvere a la otra ya que he visto que esta gasta mucha mas bateria que la otra y eso que estas rom chupan que no veas
