Para facilitar las cosas, copio y pego la respuesta de un usuario de otro foro q parece q ha conseguido hacer root en un Alcatel 991 ( está en inglés, pero se entiende ) :
Hello everyone,
Alcatel 991D rooted Both SIMs working.
Everything works fine.
Steps:
1) Download esential software -SP_Flash_Tool_v2.1134.00 (Install) -Android_2.3.6_MT6573_Android_scatter_991D.txt (No need to generate yours the same memory map for every device 991D) -new-boot.img (The vulnerable boot image mrdoubleb make the Magic ) -SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse
2) Install Alcatel Software One touch upgrade (needed if something goes wrong) and Alcatel Android Manager (Unzip and install apropiated driver 64 or 32 bits. DrvInst32 or DrvInst64).
4) Launch SP_Flash_Tool_v2.1134.00 (VERY IMPORTANT!!! be carefull with the options) -Select the correct Android_2.3.6_MT6573_Android_scatter_991D.txt file (The memory map, as far as I know it is the same for all 991D). Forget about warnings. Ok, on everyone. -Select USB Mode. -Check ONLY BOOTIMG and select path for new-boot.img -Power off your phone. Remove battery. Put on battery and plug the usb cable. -And download....wait to 100% in the yellow bar.
5) Boot phone. Plug usb cable. Enable USB debuggind and Simulated ubications.
6) SuperOneClick and....ROOOOOOOT!!!
