hrdware decoding doesn't work yet in android lollypop. That's why it isn't that fluid. In the end of february they come with an update. The former android versions are all same speedy esp when overclocked and nova launcher is installed. I think battery drain in 4.1 is less gooed than in 4.2 or 4.4 or even 5.0.
